An Andromadan Bounty Huntress, from Reaper Miniatures.
The ship's Arch-Militant -the 2004 'Chick Challenge' special edition miniature, sculpted by Steve Buddle, (slightly converted).
An action shot, just for the fun of it!
An old school sci-fi and fantasy wargaming blog.
Stunning. The colour choice and textures mean there's alien even in the humans. If you've shown the navigator before, I missed him, so I'm very glad he's here. What a group!
ReplyDeleteCheers Porky - you're right, I haven't specifically shown the Navigator before. The Huntress is the modal I mentioned on your 'panpolycosmic' post a while back. I imagine she came from Andromeda through some long lost Old One portal, and has attached herself to the Rogue Trader while their agendas are compatible :-)
ReplyDeleteNeat! I like the paint schemes and the conversion work. The background is even cool too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patrick! I've ordered Messalina, so I'll show her here when she's done too. Are you planning on making any more Andromedans?
ReplyDeleteFantastic Rogue Trader entourage, really nice.
ReplyDeleteLike an Inquisitor and retinue, a Rogue Trader and his/her hangers on has been on my miniature to-do list for years. I will get to it eventually.
The 1989 look to the group really sells it. Keep it up!
I would also love to see more of the navigator. Where does his looking staff top come from (is it some sort of sextant)? It looks great.
Cheers Sho3box!
ReplyDeleteI'll see if I can dig out or take a shot of the Navigator. Basically, he's a kit bash of models, mostly parts scrounged from mates. His legs are Eldar Guardians, his torso from the Imperial Guard Command Squad, his arms are from the Empire Great Swords (the left was carrying an axe), as is his head (I sculpted the third eye) and the staff cap is from the Empire Battle Wizard set, with purity seals from somewhere I can't remember!
Some lovely paintjobs and great kitbashes there! I like the use of the Reaper fig, it certainly fits in well. I remember the navigator from earlier posts, but it's good to have a better picture of him, really nice combination of parts!
ReplyDeleteJust getting into multi-range kit bashing of figures myself, great inspiration here. Your trader reminds me of the art for the lead character in Rogue Star, the Rogue Trader fiction from Black Library.
ReplyDeleteAgree with much of the comments above.
- Tael.
Thanks Tael, glad you noticed ;-)
ReplyDeleteRogue Star? Great book. Jeeze, I wish the author would pull his finger out and finish that series. If only he read this blog.....
ReplyDeleteLike the 'slight conversion' of the Mancha / Buddle CC4 sculpt: the ponytail makes her reminiscent of the 'dark Elves Scouts' of old (Citadel? Or yet Marauder?).
