Crew for the shuttle near finished.
Trader (previously painted), Warlock (for navigating those webways), Pilot, Gunner and two Ghost Warriors for when negotiations break down :)
I'm slightly annoyed with myself as seconds after finishing them i realised i'd used a shade deeper grey to shade the white (foundry 'slate grey' rather than 'slate grey light') than i had on the squad of mercenaries i did earlier, its not that noticable but thewhite armour doesnt look as smooth on these.
I'm also desperately in need of new brushes, all the ones i've got at the mo are a bit worse for wear and it makes thin line stuff like the warlocks robe insignia a bit tricky and crude looking, i just couldnt get a straighter, neater line. For gaming with they are fine.
Next project after doing my RPG character ad mech explorator figure is to do a contrasting Rogue traders 'away team' using the old 'imperial army' range and a lot of the ship based 'adventurers'. I'm going for a blue/green and browny orange scheme on those, sounds hideous but trust me it looks good.
Tales from the Maelstrom is a wargaming blog cataloguing our ongoing campaigns set in the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 universes. Being veteran gamers, we use a range of rules sets, including Rogue Trader, Warhammer 40,000 2nd Ed, Necromunda and Mordheim. We’re posting our experiences as we go along, in the hope that our gaming antics will prove useful, inspirational or just plain amusing to other old school gaming vets like ourselves!
I've really been enjoying watching these come together. Really cool to see some Ghost Warriors again - haven't seen those models in eons!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
Really nice, like a mirror image of an adventuring party.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see these old sculpts again. They work well together in that scheme.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking crew. I was looking forward to seeing these guys and I'm not disappointed.
