WOW!! Your Foundry game is even better-looking than I had imagined it to look! Especially love the squad of Zoats entering the table in the last photo! Thanks for posting these!
Thats a great looking game. Very old school in concept but with a more modern, neater and tidier finish: the best of both worlds :)
A buddy and I were lamenting the lack of funds available for us to travel over from Ireland to the event. Maybe next time.
Did the promotional fishmen feature in the game? I got a pair painted up last week and they are cute retro figures: http://sho3box.wordpress.com/2012/12/10/fishmen-from-space/
Cheers mate, you're welcome any time. We didn't get the Fishmen ourselves until the day, but now we have a squad's worth each we'll get them painted up for the next one. I also have a couple of Dominators which I've had for ages, and I'm painting them up too :-)
Following this up with a bit of a cross link that is of interest to everyone here I think. http://fightingfantasist.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/oldhammer-game-proposal-rogue-trader.html
Tales from the Maelstrom is a wargaming blog cataloguing our ongoing campaigns set in the Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 universes. Being veteran gamers, we use a range of rules sets, including Rogue Trader, Warhammer 40,000 2nd Ed, Necromunda and Mordheim. We’re posting our experiences as we go along, in the hope that our gaming antics will prove useful, inspirational or just plain amusing to other old school gaming vets like ourselves!
Great stuff as usual!

ReplyDeleteGreat game, even though I lost (-30) victory points, oh well long live the Planetary Governor Kellogg, death to the imperium.
ReplyDeleteReally great game, glad was able to attend. even thou I lost (-30) victory points. governor Kellogg will return, to thwart the Imperium.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair Matthew i think the odds were stacked against you and your victory conditions were quite harsh.
ReplyDeleteI think should we run this scenario again we'd be a bit more lenient.
You were a great sport though and did well considering you had every one gunning for your forces.
As sho3box's afformentioned buddy I second his notion of lamenting at the fact that we could not make it over to roll it oldskool.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures look great, they look just like they came out of the Rogue Trader rulebook.
Inspirational stuff!
