  2. Even though the only Squats I ever bought were to be used in Advanced Space Crusade (as Tyranid mind slaves things, can't remember actual name) they still make me nostalgic.

They turned out very nice, look forward to seeing them against the Genestealer Cult, who also bring about warm memories...

  8. Wow, just finished going thru your entire blog! So many years, so many games. I can express to you how inspirational it has been. I'm getting some guys together with new warbands to play some similar types of games using RT and Necromunda books, as well as testing out Pulp Alley. I have so many questions, but I'm saving them for when we really get into it. I do have a terrain question tho (and not about your buildings :P). The rock formation/pleatu things further back - how did you build them? The texture is awesome. Is it bark built around a foam base?

And these minis... we're all just using whatever we have at hand currently, but all your minis have inspired me to start collecting older things. It's weird how you just kind of start appreciating the older stuff one day. Maybe it's because it takes you back to days long gone. But man, seriously inspiring stuff! I'm going to try to be brave enough to get a similar blog going after we get minis and terrain finished for the campaigns I've been writing. Hats off to you and your pals! Don't stop posting! :)

  9. Hi Jeremy, many thanks for your kind words, I'm glad you've enjoyed the blog! Feel free to ask anything you want, I'll be happy to help. I'm also pretty active on the Emporium of Rogue Dreams Facebook page if you want to hang out with other people who like messing about with this type of game :-)

  10. Thanks Andy! I just sent a request to join it. I'm kind of new to the Oldhammer/Inq28 thing and still gathering materials. Over the last 2 years I've been having to sell of most of my collection of awesome things due to medical craziness and needing the money. I've been saving the things that are really close to me, not knowing what I'd do with them. Having to get away from massed battles and focusing and researching on skirmish games to play. Then I had a friend say lets just play old Necromunda and Inquisimunda and Rogue Trader, etc. I don't know why it had ever occurred to me, ha. But I love the background of 40k and didn't want to completely leave it and now we can play in it again. I'm def not a competitive player and really wanted to play games with an RPG element and linked games playing long stories we have come up with.

So your blog has def been a major inspiration, Andy. Basically all the things I'd like to do you have done, so your blog has been a quite teaching tool, ha. I'm so happy that despite medical crap and having little income to put into armies is no longer an issue and that we can play the games I've always dreamed of doing but didn't know how to go about it.

I am working on creating a Blog or Webpage to track all of our efforts. It will have batreps, character bios, campaign/story information, etc. We thought of several names for it, but wanted a name that wasn't too specific, and allowed for 'anything goes' in the system our games will be played in. Thinking to call it Edge of the Imperium. My friend and I will def be posting a link in a few different FB groups once we have it set up, etc. Also working on a new set of terrain to fit with the story we have going and getting the miniatures painted up. So it may be another month, but hopefully it will be as awesome as I'm thinking!
