Cereal Killers from Planet RTB01
On the distant agri-world research station of RTB01, the planetary governor Kellog has been acting strangely, after initial reports on the development of a stain of ‘super cereal’ - hardy enough to grow on the most inhospitable planets - all communication ceased.
Several Imperial recon teams were dispatched and all equally lost without trace, eventually Inquisitor Brand with a small contingent of Fire Angels space marines and an imperial guard battalion was sent to investigate.
The Inquisitor found the governors Planetary Defence Force to be hostile and almost possessed by a manic rebellious fervor, his initial forces were decimated and the survivors have retreated into the foothills surrounding the research station in order to consolidate their forces and receive re-enforcements.
Broadcasting a system wide distress call via their astropath it was with utter horror the survivors realised that in their exhausted state they had sent out an un-encoded message… now every pirate, renegade and chancer in the system would be on route to steal the super cereal!
What happens next is up to you guys :)
Come along and join us at Wargames Foundry's factory shop this Saturday and take part in a multiplayer mayhem Rogue Trader game.
What a finely named planet. I look forward to seeing any pics.

It went great, thanks mate! Major Hazzard took some pics, as did Dan from Wargames Illustrated so we should have some stuff to show soon :-)
ReplyDeleteI was there in the afternoon playing the Inquisitor force. An enormous amount of fun and I really appreciated the effort that was put into it. Myself and the person playing the Orks enjoyed it so much we're dusting off Rogue Trader ourselves to run some scenarios. If you run any more in future then as long as I can get 2-3 to split the petrol cost with I shall definitely be there.

Excellent! We certainly hope to run another one fairly soon so keep an eye on the blog and please get in touch if you have any specific ideas.
ReplyDeleteI am that person playing Krunch and his band and indeed it was great fun. We are tempted to look at a mainly RT system with some 2nd ed rules and/or embellishments.
ReplyDeleteQuite often Iain thats exactly what we do, on some of the smaller level games it's tricky to spot the join between RT and 2nd ed/necromunda as we dive into both boxs for rules.
ReplyDeleteI tried to keep as much of the foundry game as 'by the book' as possible so that any walk in players not used to our previous stuff wouldnt walk away thinking 'i dont remember that being in the game' or at worst 'they were totally making those rules up' :)
Pics to follow, i've got a fairly heavy day of 'day job' stuff to sort but i'll have pics and a light report up soon.
