Jungle Patrol finished

I've finally finished the jungle patrol I showed a few miniatures from a while back. I may also make them an ACAV style rhino at some point, but there's loads more projects to get on with first!

Patrol Commander

Signaller, posed to stand next to the commander so they appear to be talking.

Engineer, carrying a meltabomb on his back and a shedload of krak greandes on his webbing.

Flamer, for flushing out carnivorous plants and enemy ambushers.

Tracker, with motion detector, to accompany the flamer and direct his fire.

Gunner, for heavy fire support.

Patrol medic, carrying two medikits on his back.

Scout

Grenadier, carrying a looted Tau pulse carbine.

Sniper

  1. Those are excellent mate, are you going to put that much effort into every model in the army?

  2. Thanks mate :-)

This is the army! We play small scale, narrative-driven skirmish games, so rarely need to paint more than a dozen or so models.

  4. These might be my favorite models so far. I really love that scout, for some reason.

  6. First, I would like to say that you have done an amazing job on these guard, and they look stunning.

I have been in kind of a slump lately, and have been looking for a new color scheme, so I hope you dont mind my asking, what colors did you use on the fatigues and armor?

  7. Thanks mate, most appreciated.

As far as the colours go, I was looking to simulate a British Army 'tropical DPM' scheme. I used Citadel Foundation Gretchin Green as the base, then applied broad, curved strokes of Catachan Green, then the same of Scorched Earth, then finally small strokes of black. Lastly, I gave the whole lot a watered down wash of Citadel Devlan Mud, to pull it all together.

The armour is simpler - its Catachan Green with a Badab Black Wash. Then back up to Catachan Green, then a couple of edge highlights of Catachab Green mixed with Camo Green.

Hope that helps, but any more questions please fire away!
